Introduction

The combined Circuit Kettlebell training course is a fantastic module for any gym, exercise to music  or group exercise teachers.

The circuit module will teach you how to use small equipment such as ViPR, freeFORM, med balls, bulgarian bags, human trainer, twist trainers and much more in a variety of indoor circuit sessions. The circuit training module will teach you functional power based movement, plyometrics, CV, team circuits, ton ups, fat busting circuits amongst other formats.

This kettlebell module will provide instructors and PTs with the knowledge and skills to perform and teach a huge variety of functional basic and advanced exercises using a kettlebell, whilst also understanding and practicing safe training.

This combined circuit kettlebell training course has been developed by our movement specialists and is crammed full of useable ideas that you walk away with and teach. Circuit & Kettlebell training, as functional movement, is one of the biggest growing areas of work in fitness. You can take this course as a gym instructor, group exercise teacher, personal trainer or if you hold equivalent fitness instructor qualifications.

Upon completion of this circuit & kettlebell training and assessment, you will receive an Active IQ Award in Instructing Kettlebells and an Active IQ Award in Instructing Circuit Training.

  • Planning and teaching safe and effective circuit training session with and without equipment
  • Principles of resistance training using variable sets and reps systems
  • Principles of HIIT training
  • Circuit equipment including freeFORM, ViPR, TRX, coreflytes, medicine balls, steps, body weight, barbells, dumbbells, ladders, hurdles, tethers, bands, and more.

What Is The Kettlebell Workshop About?

  • Latest scientific research in kettlebell training
  • Application of safe, effective, functional and challenging kettlebell training
  • Understanding of functional tri-planar movement
  • Technical teaching of a broad range of basic and advanced kettlebell exercises
  • Application of kettlebell training to a varied range of client groups
  • Mechanical and physiological responses to kettlebell training

How Long Does It Last?

  • One half day circuit training & one half day kettlebell training 
  • One day assessment (both disciplines)

Who Is The Course Suitable For?

  • Individuals 16 years and over
  • Those wishing to work in a gym or studio using circuit training formats

What Qualifications Are Needed?

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor or equivalent

  • Direct observation of teaching skills
  • Lesson plans
  • Worksheets

How Is Kettlebell Training Assessed?

  • Summative assessment of a range of kettlebell exercises
  • Post course submission of a session plan for kettlebell training
  • Post course submission of learner achievement portfolio worksheets
