NEAT Fit Coaching Programme

NEAT Fit Coaching Programme

Introduction

Become a NEAT Fit Coach

The NEAT FIT Coaching program is a new and exciting certification that has never been offered before and is the first of its kind to be accredited.

It recognises the importance of low intensity and moderate intensity intermittent postural transitions that should be performed throughout the day in the home, at work, during transport and during leisure time in addition to prescribed fitness training.

The NEAT FIT program provides you with the skills to assess daily movement requirements, identify the unique problems of inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle, prescribe daily physical activity using Metabolic Equivalents (MET) and MET Minutes to monitor intensity and workloads in addition to formal fitness programs.

It recognises the importance of the current fitness recommendations but also acknowledges that being inactive is not the same as not attending fitness sessions. It is possible to meet the current fitness guidelines and still be recognised as inactive.

If you have a desire to explore the wider context of movement and work within communities, this is the programme for you.

The pre-study downloadable reading materials are all in your personal course login for you to print or read from your tablet or computer. This gives you the freedom to work at your own pace.

This course will enhance your career in fitness with exciting course material from Dr Paul Batman Ph.D. This is the only training qualification that addresses NEAT in the wider population.

Career Opportunities

As a NEAT FIT coach you will have the opportunity to work in the community with health professionals, clubs, schools, corporate facilities, community leaders and many more groups and individuals as well as, private health clubs, local leisure centres and sports centres.
