Hydro-actif Level 2 Shallow Water Certification or Hydro-actif Hydro-Pilates Certification

Introduction

Level 2 Shallow Water Certification

The Hydro-actif shallow water instructing aqua course is a one day practical training programme for those who would like to become qualified to teach in the water using the beneficial properties of water.

Instructing Aqua is the hottest non-impact core strength, mobility, stretch and movements based exercise programme that is built on using the natural resistance and buoyancy of the water. As a form of exercise its very nature it builds strength into the body using a series of cardio, circuit, HIIT and muscle conditioning exercises in the water. During the course you will learn the advantages of using exercise with the benefits of the properties of water. You will also receive a DVD and a pre-reading course manual.  Water reduces the effect of body weight on the joints and compression forces, reduces the risk of injury or fall, and combined with the resistance of the water, makes it beneficial for everyone.

You can take this course either as a stand alone certificate, or as a full level 2 Group Training Instructor AIQ if you don’t already hold a level 2 fitness instructor.

This Instructing Aqua course is internationally accepted and recognised by CIMSPA.

Hydro-Pilates

Train to teach the hottest Hydro-Pilates aqua exercise class that is built on the restorative principles of Joseph Pilates. As a form of exercise Pilates by its very nature is rehabilitative and builds strength into the body using a series of fundamental Pilates movements. During the course you will learn the advantages of using Pilates with the benefits and challenges of the properties of water. Water reduces the effect of body weight on the joints and compression forces, reduces the risk of injury or fall, and combined with the resistance of the water during all classical movements, makes it beneficial for overall body exercise and recovery from injuries. At the same time the properties of water such as drag, eddy, turbulence, buoyancy, resistance, inertia, action-reaction and more can challenge the Pilates exercises and enhance the use of the principles developing clients core strength and bringing advanced health benefits to your class members.

This course will teach you how to centre, breath and control the body in the water allowing precision of movement and flow through the water. You will learn how to adapt the Pilates excises using precise breathing and muscle control with a mind body, body mind focus.

Prerequisite: Aqua Shallow Water Training and/or L3 Pilates are recommended but neither is required.
