Ingredients for the brownies

250g dates

110g roasted hazelnuts

4 tbsp raw cacao powder

3 tbsp maple syrup (I use sugar free version)

generous pinch of Himalayan salt

Cinnamon to taste 

Ingredients for the frosting (all blended)

125g dates

30g raw cacao powder

50g coconut oil

100ml almond milk 


Blend hazelnuts and dates together first and then add and blend the maple syrup, the cacao powder and the cinnamon.

Press the mixture into a baking tray, ( i used 17cm x 10cm) and cool in fridge while making the frosting.  

Blend all the frosting ingredients together and spread and smooth on the brownie mixture.

Cool in the fridge for at least 3 hours before slicing.
