Pilates for Pregnancy Instructor Training

Pilates for Pregnancy Instructor Training

Introduction

Pilates Pregnancy Instructor Training is a “must do” module for all Pilates instructors who teach women. Using the Pilates method you will explore the optimum programming during each stage of pregnancy through trimester one, two three and the post natal period. This will allow you to adapt your Pilates classes for pregnant ladies or to offer specialist classes for this period of a women’s life cycle. It is suitable for all teachers with a Pilates qualification, whether level 2 or 3, as well as those looking for ideas and safe exercises for existing gym and group sessions. This module also acts as the perfect grounding for those who wish to specialise in this rewarding area. The Pilates for Pregnancy Instructor Training has been developed by the specialist team at Drummond which includes our physiotherapist, midwife, exercise physiologist and Pilates instructor. The course is completely delivered online in the comfort of your own home through a series of video lectures, downloadable resources and personal practice. The video lectures are led by our clinical exercise physiologist and Pilates Fully Comprehensive specialist to give you the most up to date science and relevant information. You have the option of combining this with the full Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Post Natal Clients at a reduced cost. This course is internationally accepted and recognised by EMD UK and the Society for the Pilates Method

You can take this qualification either as a stand alone CPD course or as a national regulated qualification which will include the AIQ level 3 Award in Adapting Physical Activity for Antenatal and Postnatal Clients.  This course will teach you all the changes a women’s body experience through the antenatal period, through the birth to the postnatal period. Through each of stage you will also learn and understand how to adapt the traditional Pilates 34 Mat Repertoire (contemporary and classical) using the Pilates Method to each antenatal and postnatal stage of pregnancy.  This course will grow your confidence in teaching pregnant women and post natal women.
