Pilates Reformer Therapy Course

Pilates Reformer Therapy Course

Introduction

Pilates Reformer Therapy Course powered by Michael King MK Pilates

The Pilates Reformer Therapy Course is an approach to movement re-education that is essential in the field of rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions. The Reformer is a stimulative assistive form of exercise that optimises the acquisition of movement with a reduction of negative forces, stimulation and correction of dysfunctional movement patterns, re-establishment of neural recruitment of micro control across joint structures and stimulation of muscle contraction and control.  Research theories in motor learning, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal physiology help support the phenomena experienced by many Pilates Reformer practitioners.

Through this Pilates reformer therapy course you will learn how to rehabilitate common injuries or movement restrictions through using this genius method and equipment through this Pilates Reformer Therapy Exercise course. The first course of its kind, written by physiotherapists and lead clinical pilates reformer practitioners. This course is an excellent progression for any level 3 advanced reformer trainers who are both qualified in mat and reformer Pilates basics. Our expert international presenters will teach you how to rehabilitate the joint complex movements through a six week programme of release, mobility and therapy exercises. You will learn the advanced anatomy of the ankle, knee, hip, spine and shoulder joint complex’s in this Therapy Exercise Course. You will be able to understand the most common injuries or restrictions to the joint complex’s and the pathophysiology of dysfunctional movement patterns. You will be taught progressive 6 week programmes for each joint complex. You will be able to use these six week programmes to affect change in the movement patterns of your clients. Each programme uses release methods, mobility sequences and Pilates reformer strengthening exercises to re-establish the correct movement pattern and improve movement and posture.

This course is internationally accepted and recognised by REPs & CIMSPA.
