Introduction

Learn how to rehabilitate common injuries or movement restrictions through therapy exercise course. The first course of its kind, written by physiotherapists and lead clinical pilates practitioners. This course is an excellent progression for any level 3 advanced instructor or personal trainer, or pilates trainers. Our expert international presenters will teach you how to rehabilitate the joint complex movements through a six week programme of release, mobility and pilates therapy exercises. You will learn the advanced anatomy of the ankle, knee, hip, spine and shoulder joint complex’s in this Therapy Exercise Course. You will be able to understand the most common injuries or restrictions to the joint complex’s and the pathophysiology of dysfunctional movement patterns. You will be taught progressive 6 week programmes for each joint complex. You will be able to use these six week programmes to affect change in the movement patterns of your clients. Each programme uses release methods, mobility sequences and therapy strengthening exercises from the field of pilates to re-establish the correct movement pattern and improve movement and posture.

This course is internationally accepted and recognised by REPs & CIMSPA.

  • Detailed anatomy of the neural, fascia, ligament and tendon structures of each joint complex
  • Common injuries and restrictions of each joint complex
  • Restrictions and dysfunctional movement patterns of the body linked to the common injuries and restrictions
  • Foam rolling techniques related to each joint complex
  • Mobility sequences to release and improve movement patters for each joint complex
  • 6 week strengthening programmes for each joint complex using, release techniques, mobility sequences and pilates method therapy exercises for building strength
