Did you know oranges aren’t the only fruit packed with vitamin C?!
Runny nose, cough, sore throat? Sounds like you need a good dose of vitamin C. But before you reach for an orange, consider these vitamin C facts – Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C is an essential vitamin that comes with a wealth of health benefits. And although studies show that consuming vitamin C can’t actually prevent colds, loading up on the nutrient may help shorten the duration of the illness and reduce the severity of your symptoms.
Vitamin C is found mainly in fruit and veg – and oranges are a great source! What might surprise you, however, is that there are plenty of other foods that actually contain more vitamin C than an orange! When you’re doing your shopping this weekend, how about adding some of these to your trolley?
